Uniting the Male Descendants of American War Veterans
Sons of The American Legion Squadron 191
E-mail: [email protected]
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM
(No meeting in July)
The Sons of The American Legion was created in 1932 as an organization within The American Legion. The S.A.L. is made up of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in The American Legion.
Message from the commander:
Welcome to the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 191 and thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to find, and take a look at our page!
I didn’t serve in our great military, but as part of the greatest generation to ever live, my grandfather did. He served in both WWII and the Korean War. Frederick Parks is who I gained my eligibility from, and he like other veterans selflessly put country before self so that we could live in freedom, and I will do my best to honor him as well as others who’ve honorably served.
Who are you eligible under? How would you like to honor their legacy? Would you like to support the many veterans and their families throughout our community?
If you have the willingness to participate & promote our great organization so that we may support the programs of The American Legion, which directly supports the Veterans within our community, please pick up an application in the Post Lounge or ask any Squadron Officer for assistance. We’re always looking for new members to help support all of our charitable causes, assist with dinners and functions, and share stories while enjoying the camaraderie the lounge. Our Squadron meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every Month, 7pm sharp, except in the month of July, and we’d love to meet you as we continue to grow our membership, and reconnect with current members. We’d love to have your support!
Please look to the newsletter, web page, and Facebook for information on our events, and remember to attend those Tuesday evening meetings. We’re also looking for updated contact information including email addresses so we can send you information on Squadron happenings.
We look forward to welcoming you to our family.
Thanks for your time!
